Now that you know how to make this dish, go ahead and make some tonight! But first...Make sure you have these ingredients ready: ground beef, butter, onions, garlic cloves, fresh ginger root, red curry paste or some pre-made red curry sauce. Brown rice will also be handy. And of course salt!

How to Prepare the Curry

The first thing you're going to want to do is start cooking your rice. This can be done using any type of rice; brown, white, or both. I like to make my rice in the Instant Pot because it cooks the rice perfectly every time and also frees up oven space.

Once your rice is cooking (or if you're not using the Instant Pot), get your curry ingredients together. Start by thinly slicing half an onion; then slice up three cloves of garlic; next, cut bite-sized pieces of beef into strips; then cut two tomatoes into small chunks. Lastly, place a tablespoon of water in a frying pan and mix in curry powder, ginger powder, coriander powder, ground cumin, turmeric, red chili pepper flakes and Garam Masala until all the spices are mixed in well.

Once you have all your ingredients ready and in a dish near the stovetop - it's time to cook! Place your frying pan on medium-high heat and add some oil to it when hot enough. Add onions into the frying pan with a teaspoon of salt and fry for one minute before adding garlic and fry for another minute with the onions before adding beef strips with a teaspoon of salt and fry for

How to Cook the Beef

Start by grabbing a frying pan and cooking the beef in some oil. You want to cook it until it's browned on all sides. Once that's done, place the beef into your slow cooker.

Next, start making the curry sauce. If you don't have any curry powder at home, you can buy it at any grocery store or you can use this recipe for homemade curry powder. Add it to your saucepan with some coconut milk and tomato paste, stirring until combined before placing it in the slow cooker with the beef.

The final step is adding in some salt and pepper to taste. Now just set your slow cooker to low for 6-8 hours and let everything cook!

Putting it All Together

This is a dish you can easily make for your family, but it's also nice to serve at dinner parties or potlucks. It's great for vegetarians, easy to make on a budget, and is something the whole family will love.
